Rhino Bridge is for moving crypto between supported blockchains, not simply swapping one token for another. That distinction matters: a bridge changes the network on which your asset is available, while a swap changes the asset itself. Bridges connect otherwise isolated blockchain ecosystems and can transfer assets or information between them according to Ethereum.org.
When Rhino Bridge is the right tool
Use Rhino Bridge when you want to keep roughly the same asset but use it on another network—for example, moving USDC from Ethereum to Arbitrum. You still need the correct token and destination network; “USDC” on one chain is not automatically the same contract as USDC on another.
When a swap is the better answer
Choose a swap when your goal is to exchange ETH for USDC, or USDC for USDT, even if the transaction also crosses chains. An atomic swap means assets are exchanged between parties without requiring one side to trust the other to complete the trade as Ethereum’s bridge documentation explains.
Before you send, settle the limits
Check the live quote, supported route, received amount, and destination gas before signing. Rhino’s published limits list no minimum for Bridge & Swap deposits, instant deposits generally capped between $100,000 and $1 million depending on the route, and slow deposits up to $10 million. Those are route limits, not a promise that every token and chain combination is available.
Rhino Bridge works best with this setup
- Connect the wallet that holds the source asset.
- Select the exact source and destination networks.
- Confirm the token contract, fee, estimated arrival, and recipient address.
- Keep enough native gas on the source chain to approve and send.
The easy-to-miss detail is the destination gas token: I would not bridge my entire balance, because arriving with no ETH, MATIC, or equivalent can leave the funds stuck until gas is added.
If the transfer appears stuck
Do not submit a second transfer immediately. Save the transaction hash, check the source and destination explorers, and wait for the quoted route to finalize. If the transaction failed, verify whether the funds returned before trying again. Never send funds to an address supplied through an unsolicited message.
Who should use Rhino Bridge?
For a supported cross-chain transfer, the Rhino Bridge app is the sensible starting point because it shows the route and quote before you sign. It is not suitable for anyone who has not verified the destination chain, token contract, fee, and recovery path first.
Questions worth settling before bridging
Is Rhino Bridge the same as a crypto swap?
No. A bridge changes networks; a swap changes assets. Some routes do both.
What is the largest amount I can transfer?
Published limits range from $100,000 to $1 million for instant routes and up to $10 million for slow routes, depending on the route.
Can I recover funds sent on the wrong network?
Not always. Recovery depends on the asset, wallet, and destination chain, so verify everything before signing.
